Paw Friendly Places - Blenheim Palace

Well, where do you start with Blenheim Palace? I have lost count of the amount of dog walks I've done here. It is just beautiful at all times of the year; however, I really don't think anything compares to the estate in Autmn. The perfect combination of lovely lakes, wild woodlands and beautiful bridges there really is something for everyone.

I usually do the walk around the Queen Pool which I find perfect for my dog who only has very little legs! It is a 1.5-mile circular walk that normally takes me about 40 minutes, although, i usually can be found sitting on one of the many benches along the route just soaking up the views and feeling of tranquillity. It is accessible for wheelchair users and buggy's - so great for all the family. Please note that at the time of writing this route is currently closed for dredging of the Queen Pool.

For those of you wanting a longer walk there is the Park Perimeter, a 4.6-mile circular walk which does include some steep slopes.

Dogs are not allowed everywhere in the estate so please be careful and check before you go. They must also be kept on a lead at all times, even on the perimeter walk as it is a working estate and there may be livestock on route.

Tickets cost £20.50 for just the park and gardens or £32 for palace, park and gardens, concessions, young person, child and family tickets are also available. Although this may seem on the pricey-er side for some, you can convert your tickets into an annual pass free of charge and return as many times as you like through the year, personally I think that this is a bargain as I go multiple times each month.
